MX5-PLUS
| The MX5 PLUS is one of the most exciting developments in the world of digital signage control to come along in several years because it allows users to up-res ordinary television to the native resolution
of the display that’s being used.
Increasingly, that resolution is 1366 x768 –a high resolution display mode that makes NTSC (648 by 486 pixels) video wither miserably. But thanks to the new MX5 PLUS built-in video scaler and keyer,
those problems are a thing of the past.
The MX5 PLUS supports NTSC/PAL 4:3, 16:9 (landscape) and 9:16 (portrait) aspect ratio display with a high-resolution RGB progressive scan and DVI output.
High resolution support is only half of the story, however. The MX5 PLUS also supports a built-in 3x1 A/V router and includes the same powerful dynamic digital signage and multimedia messaging features that users of the MX5 have come to appreciate.
It comes with a built-in MPEG 1 and 2 player that can store and playback more than 100 hours of DVD-quality video. Additionally, the MX5 PLUS offers seven independent layers for graphics, video,
text, crawl, scroll, logo, and data layering. MediaCreator CG, the system’s cost-effective 32-bit character generator with alpha key, lets users import their own graphics and Tru-Type fonts or use graphics from the Digital Juice™ library, which comes with the system.
